History

1965
Peter Helmut and Annemarie Bohnet found the company Bohnet & Co. The truck fleet consists of one truck and a three-axle semi-trailer.
 
1966
In the first fiscal year Bohnet – with only two drivers – transports brushwood, steel girders, crawler tracks, and wood.
 
1967
The company executes its first heavy cargo transport with semi-trailers.
 
1969
Company headquarters are relocated from Nagold to Kirchdorf (Iller), Germany.
 
1972
The truck fleet now comprises a combinable seven-axle trailer with an excavator bed that enables transport of construction machines weighing up to 60 tons.
 
1981
A new office building and a workshop hall are built on the current premises.
 
1982
Bohnet & Co. is transformed into Bohnet GmbH. Mrs. Annemarie Bohnet is the managing partner. 
 
1986
The management expands the business activities of Bohnet GmbH and leads the enterprise on a road to success.
 
2005
Peter Helmut Bohnet starts his well-deserved retirement. 
 
2006
Bohnet GmbH acquires the premises in Kirchdorf, which was previously rented.
 
2008
Managing Director Annemarie Bohnet retires from work. Her son Peter Bohnet is appointed as her successor.
 
2009
A further workshop hall and a new warehouse are built on the premises. Bohnet GmbH implements a quality management system and is certified according to ISO 9001.
 
2010
Bohnet GmbH opens a new subsidiary in Erfurt in order to consolidate its market position in Middle and East Germany.
 
2011
First exhibition presentation of Bohnet GmbH. The heavy haulage contractor is able to showcase its business activities to a broad audience of decision-makers during Transport Logistics 2011.
 
2012
The HSE management of Bohnet GmbH is certified by DEKRA according to ISO 14001 and SCC**. Furthermore, the heavy haulage contractor receives the AEO certificate for customs simplification, security and safety.
 
2013
Completion of a modern three-story office building at the headquarters in Kirchdorf. A large-scale storage hall with integrated offices is being built on a newly acquired site in Erfurt.
2015

1995: Roll stand with a weight of 120 tons on the way to Sweden

2000: Bohnet`s first MAN truck at RORO shipment in Heilbronn
